Driving through an alleyway... by CAR!

Going through an alleyway by car can be a bit tedious... At first sight, all foreigners think it's a crazy idea and don't think it's even possible... But alas, the alleyways are designed wide enough to fit a car. But JUST one car. Therefore, motorbikes usually crowd up behind and in front of the car, and they have to creep along and wait a long time before the car reaches an area where there is a gap so that cars can pass by.

Motorists aren't the only obstacle though... Sometimes there are parked bikes, construction vehicles and materials, or even ONCOMING cars. What do you do in this situation? Well, respectively, you get the owners to move their bikes, the construction workers work quickly to move their stuff, and ONE of the cars has to concede and back-up the whole route!!!

My mom and sister amazed by the narrow squeeze through the alleyways...
It's a very sharp, tight corner... but taxis don't give up there! Back-up.... go forward.... back-up... go forward...
Line-up of riders waiting for the taxi to do its thing and creep by...
A lot of parked bikes... They all need to be moved by their owners...
Ooh... too close for comfort!
Yup, we are going around that bend!

Here is a little video of how it is!

And here is a situation where construction workers are doing work on a house and have all of their soil in the alley!

  1. It's funny that the bikers don't seem to be annoyed by this kind of inconvenience at all.
